銘基書院家長教師會在一九九三年十月九日成立，宗旨有：
Ming Kei College Parent Teacher Association (PTA) was established on October 9, 1993. Its missions include the following:
--加強家長與學校間之聯繫及合作。
--to strengthen cooperation and liaison between parents and the school
--支援學校，改善及提高學生之福利。
--to provide support to school and improve the quality of benefits for students
--使家庭教育與學校教育能相輔相成，以收教育之宏效。
--to amplify positive effects of the interplay between family and school education
--促進家長和教師彼此間之認識，建立共同合作之基礎。
--to enhance understanding between teachers and parents, thereby laying the? foundation for ccooperation between the parties
--促進家長參予教育過程，向教育署及辦學團體提供意見。
--to encourage parents to participate in educational matters and reflect their opinions to the sponsoring body and the Education Bureau when necessary
本會自一九九三年成立以來，已舉辦了不少活動，例如：聖誕親子聯歡晚會、家長教師研討會、探訪精神病院、親子烹飪比賽、探訪老人院、探訪臨屋區、父母子女齊齊學(書法班、陶瓷班、絲帶花班)。另外本會亦有參加銘基書院的陸運會及賣物會。在一九九六年出版了第一期《銘基書院家長教師會會訊》。
Since the establishment, the association has organised a large variety of activities for parents and students including Christmas parties, parents’ seminars, visits to the elderly homes, temporary homes and psychiatric hospitals, cooking contest and parent-child interest classes of calligraphy, ceramics and ribbon flowers, etc. The association has also participated in the school’s sports day and bazaar. The first PTA Newsletter was published in 1996.
