Caddisfly larva (¥ÛÅú¸¿¥®ÂÎ) in a net Freshwater stream menu
The freshwater stream offers surprises. To the untrained eyes, there is nothing to see
under swift running water. To a student of Biology, there is something wonderful.

As my hand stopped the flowing water over a rock and separated it into two currents,
a few nets were found. This is the home of an insect larva - the caddisfly larva.

Caddisfly larvae make use of debris to build a case / net for themselves - an adaptation
for survival in the freshwater stream.
Some species make use of sand grains to build themselves a tube for hiding.
