Chiton (Kingdom Animal, Phylum Mollusca, Class Amphineura)
The Hong Kong species Liolophura japonica is firmly attached to rock (near the low tide mark) by its muscular foot. It is protected by 8 overlapping plates on the dorsal side.
These two chitons have three gastropod neighbours.
